“Amahl and the Night Visitors.” Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron. Auditions held by appointment between 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Auditioners should prepare a song with accompaniment from one of the opera’s roles. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. “Goldilocks in Bobby Sox.” Stage Left Players at Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. Auditions are 1 p.m. Sunday for grades K-8. Be prepared to sing a 32-bar musical number and wear comfortable clothing and shoes (no sandals, please) to learn a simple dance step. Accompanist provided. Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2008-09 season.
