“Ugly Betty” (8 p.m., ABC): Betty has proposals to consider as the new season starts.

“Survivor: Gabon” (8 p.m., CBS): The so-called “last Eden on Earth” has been invaded by a reality show.

“My Name Is Earl” (8 p.m., NBC): Earl tries to help a once-ill child, who’s now a healthy adult.

“The Office” (9 p.m., NBC): The staff tries a weight-loss challenge.

“Grey’s Anatomy” (9 p.m., ABC): Lots of premieres tonight, including “Survivor: Gabon” and “The Office.” But we’ll go with the two-hour fifth-season opener of “Grey’s Anatomy.” It has Meredith and Derek waking up to the realities of their renewed relationship. Also, Kevin McKidd (”Journeyman”) surfaces as a love interest for Cristina.
