South Range school groundbreaking is noon Saturday


NORTH LIMA – The South Range school district will break ground on its new kindergarten through 12th Grade building at noon Saturday on the site, 11300 state Route 46 in Beaver Township. The community is invited to the ceremony, conducted by Superintendent Dennis Dunham, Treasurer Jim Phillips, school board members and the project’s construction manager. The building is expected to be completed by, and move-in scheduled for, August 2010, with three separate areas for the high school, junior high and elementary school. The building will sit on 60 acres along state Route 46 and Green Beaver Road. District voters approved borrowing $18.3 million through the sale of bonds to pay the local share of the cost. The state’s share of nearly $20 million represents 52 percent of the total cost.
