• YOUNGSTOWN — Rachel Lia Lively, 1043 Orange Ave., and Derrick T. Johnson Sr., 844 Canfield Road, were married at 3 p.m. Aug. 9 at New Vision Baptist Church and honored afterward during a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

They honeymooned in Las Vegas and live in Youngstown.

The bride’s parents are Charlene Lively and Bernard Jackson, both of Youngstown, and the groom is a son of Bessie Johnson, 844 Canfield Road, and the late Kenneth Johnson.

The bride wore a white lace gown and matching jacket.

Celery-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Felicia Miller, and the bridesmaids, Kandis Mayo; Delisa Bowser and Zelese Rushing, the bride’s cousins; Vicky Hightower, her sister; Raven Rushton, Ciara Johnson, and Charlissa Shaw, the groom’s daughters; and Tammy Shad, the bride’s cousin. Flower girl was Ravin Martin, the bride’s daughter.

Derrick Johnson Jr. was best man for his father, and groomsmen were Charles Beck; Earl Lively, the bride’s brother; Vernon Gurley Jr. and Ahmad Moore, his nephews; Eric McElroy; Danny Levy; Kenneth Johnson Jr., his brother; and K Ondre Johnson, his son. Ring bearer was Jabriel Scott, her godson, and guests were ushered by William Grant, her cousin.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Choffin Career Center as a certified pharmacy technician nursing associate. Mr. Johnson is employed in sales with Sherwin Automotive.
