Warren police to nab mystery monitor thief

WARREN — A thief who walked off with a lightweight flat-screen computer monitor from the main library on Mahoning Avenue Saturday afternoon may have been a mystery novel fan, but police hope her act won’t be a mystery for long.

When Warren police viewed the surveillance video of the northwest section of the library — where mystery books are housed — they recognized the woman, said Robert Briel, director of the library.

Officers were hoping to locate the woman today and solve the case, Briel said.
