We want your Snapz

It has been a year since The Vindicator began the Snapz pages.

During that time, we’ve seen lots of talent from local photographers and tons of personality from the subjects of photos.

For October, the them is “Vacation/Staycation.” We want to see what you did this summer, whether it was taking in the sights at the beach or visiting some of the Valley’s landmarks.

Did you spend your off time swimming in your own pool? Or did you head off to the Bahamas?

It’s all perfect fodder for the upcoming Snapz.

Because it’s the anniversary, we figured we ought to make the page something special. So, this time the editors will pick a favorite photo and name a winner for the month.

That means at least one reader will have his or her photo singled out for special attention. (And maybe more; we’re not allowed to say right now.)

So, dig through those photos from the summer and see if you have something special that you forgot to send.

How will we judge the favorite? It’ll be equal parts personality and creativity, mixed in with a little technical know-how.

Basically, if it’s a nice, clear photo and just grabs our attention, then it will be the featured shot on the page.

We still need all the same things as we’ve had all year long.

Make sure to send us large jpegs if you’re e-mailing. Or crisp, clean photos if you’re mailing. (Special paper surfaces and inkjet prints don’t work too well when we scan them.)
