BOARDMAN — The public is invited to join the Stambaugh Chorus for a luncheon at noon Wednesday at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 1320 Boardman-Poland Road.

Seminar to feature tips on moving

YOUNGSTOWN — A panel of local professionals will share their tips on moving during a seminar scheduled for 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at Park Vista Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Ave.

Answering questions on ways to relieve the stress associated with simplifying your life, selling your home, downsizing and making a move will be J. Paul Basinger and Julie Cerneka of Basinger Auction Service; Atty. Vince Wloch, magistrate attorney; Ken Voitus and Jim DePaul, North Star Moving; and Nikki Hatfield, Klacik Real Estate.

YWCA ANGEL Network to sponsor luncheon

YOUNGSTOWN — The YWCA ANGEL Network (African American Women Nurturing and Giving Each Other Life) will sponsor a free luncheon for women from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 4 at Oakhill Renaissance Center, 345 Oakhill Ave.

Featured will be education on good breast health, interactive learning and door prizes.

Registration is required by Sept. 29.

Bake sale scheduled

GIRARD — The Ladies of Mount Carmel of St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., will sponsor a bake sale Sept. 28 in the church basement after the 7:30, 9 and 10:30 a.m. Masses. A previous digest listing omitted the church name.

Homemade pizzelles and other baked goods will be for sale, and coffee will also be served.

Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN — Oct. 4 is the date for the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-mile walk planned as a benefit for the American Cancer Society.

Members of the Youngstown State University Men’s Basketball team and their coaches are inviting members of the community to register at 9 a.m. and take part in the walk, which will begin at 10 on the outdoor track at YSU.

The non-competitive event will be held rain or shine, and participants can walk at their own pace.

The entry fee is $10 per person, and there will be a discount for YSU students who show a student ID card. There will be T-shirts, door prizes and a raffle.
