Sarah Palin is the best candidate ever

I believe presidential candidate John McCain has displayed political savvy by choosing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate.

There hasn’t been a political candidate in my 58 years of voting that has sparked my interest or impressed me more than Gov. Palin.

To me she represents a down home knowledge of what our country is in need of, as well as a sincere enthusiasm for change. Her intelligence rings believable, and her manner makes me feel she would be approachable.

Her abilities as a wife and mother while likened to that of a soft purring kitten are viewed by me to be that of a strong, dedicated woman who would not back down when it comes to the things she strongly believes in.

Listening to months of bashing by Presidential hopefuls made me think of a tornado coming to an end followed by a bright sunny day when Gov. Palin was introduced as John McCain’s running mate.

Regardless of who wins the presidency, a new and never before happening will have taken place in our country’s history.

No longer will race or gender prevent any American their right to seek and serve in our country’s highest offices.

Every freedom loving American should welcome such change with thunderous applause along with the vote they should cast for the candidate of their choice in this coming November election.

While Americans continue to ask “God to bless America” Americans should not forget that “God helps those who help themselves.” The wise know that victory is not gained by wishing, but instead by doing.
