CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians say not all their home games are created equal.

The club on Friday announced four ticket price levels for the 2009 season. The price levels are based on the time of year each game is played, the day of the week and the opponent.

Games played on weeknights in the spring are the cheapest. Weekend games in the summer are the most expensive.

Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 17 points and seven rebounds, and Plenette Pierson had 11 points for the Shock. Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be Sunday in Detroit.

MacKenzie leads

MADISON, Miss. — Will MacKenzie had a killer round at the Viking Classic on Friday. Problem is he can’t remember much of it.

A guy like MacKenzie — a kayaker, heliboarder and surfer — lives in the moment. And his 8-under 64 was so last hour when he met with reporters, even if it did boost him into a four-way tie at 10 under.

Wie breezes through

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — Michelle Wie breezed through the final round of an LPGA Tour sectional qualifying tournament on a scorching Friday in the desert, shooting a steady 1-under 71 to tie for fourth.

Completing the first step toward earning her tour card, she was 8 under after 72 holes.

US trails Spain 2-0

MADRID, Spain — For a while, one set to be precise, the United States could entertain the tantalizing thought of a big upset in the Davis Cup.

But Sam Querrey’s lead over top-ranked Rafael Nadal lasted only so long. And the Spaniards were playing on their beloved clay and before a crowd of some 16,000 in a bullfighting arena.
