YSU grants received

External grant funding of Youngstown State University research and sponsored programs is nearing the $7 million per year mark. Major project recipients in fiscal 2007-08 were:

$974,112 from the Ohio Department of Education for Youngstown Early College High School.

$911,050 from the U.S. Department of Defense for a CyberEnabled Industrial Innovation Center project.

$586,952 from the Ohio Department of Education for a professional development program for school science teachers.

$573,920 from the Ohio Department of Education for a professional development program for school math teachers.

$355,988 from the U.S. Office of Naval Research - Defense Threat Reduction Agency to the physics and astronomy department.

$250,000 from the U.S. Department of Education for the Upward Bound program.
