ATHLETIC GROUPS

• McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

CLUBS

• Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance has scheduled a new-member luncheon for 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Overture Restaurant in Youngstown. The organization is open to spouses of local and resident physicians. For more information, call Karyn Frederick, (330) 533-4880.

• McDonald Parents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

• Youngstown American Hungarian Club will have a business meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the clubhouse on Donald Avenue after a picnic beginning at 5. Casseroles are welcome. On the agenda will be discussion of the chicken paprikash dinner, which is scheduled to take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 5.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

• Croatian Fraternal Lodge 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

GRANGES

• A casserole dinner will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Dublin Grange, 6571 Fairground Blvd., Canfield. This is the first meeting of the new Grange year. Members and those interested are welcome to attend.

GUILDS

• Youngstown Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet Tuesday at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Canfield. The morning meeting will be at 10 a.m., and the evening meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Linda Gwinnup will preside. The featured project will be part two of the pincushion doll by Sue Sizer, which was started in July. Take regular stitching supplies and magnification and lighting if necessary. • The Aureola Wilson Missionary Society of St. John AME Church, 97 W. Washington St., Struthers, has scheduled its annual Harvest Tea for 4 p.m. Sunday. Local historian Steffon Jones will present a depiction of area Civil War people, and Dana Kelley will be the soloist. Rachel Terry is president.

• St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.
