GIRARD
Sept. 15
Theft/criminal damaging: Several Park Avenue residents discovered their vehicles had been broken into. Among the items stolen were stereos, DVD/compact-disc players, an Xbox 360 game system and a satellite radio.
Theft: A Churchill Hubbard Road woman accused her boyfriend, 23, of stealing roughly 15 Vicodin tablets from her purse.
Weapon: A group of children in the 1100 block of North Highland Avenue reported a man with short braided hair and a blue hoodie was waving a gun. No one was injured.

Assault: Police found a man leaving a U.S. Route 422 restaurant with a bloody nose and mouth before he reported having been punched in the mouth.
Menacing: A West Middlesex, Pa., woman at a State Street business told police two people threatened to harm her.
Burglary: A Morris Avenue man returned to his residence and found a broken window and a missing jar of coins.
Criminal damaging: A man who owns a home in the 500 block of Rush Street reported someone used rocks to break a window.
Attempted breaking and entering: A woman noticed a broken screen window at her Highland Avenue home, apparently after someone tried to enter.
Fraud: A North State Street woman discovered her bank card missing and that her account was overdrawn by more than $400.
Theft: An East Main Street woman accused a 22-year-old Hubbard man of taking a book of checks and writing two checks for a total of $300.
Burglary: Officers chased on foot a man in a black T-shirt after having received a report of a possible break-in at a vacant Crumlin Avenue home.
Burglary: A man in the 400 block of Lawrence Avenue discovered two laptop computers, an Xbox 360 game system, four Xbox games and a firearm missing, for an estimated loss of $3,300.

Menacing: An East Howard Street woman reported two people threatened to shoot at and burn down her duplex when she confronted them about making too much noise.

Sept. 13
Bad check: An employee of a Churchill Hubbard Road construction company reported getting a check that had been written on a closed account.
Assault: A township girl told officers a 23-year-old Girard man got out of a truck, grabbed her arm and pushed her into a side of the vehicle.
Identity fraud: A Youngstown woman found out someone obtained her check card number and used it without consent at a Belmont Avenue eatery.
Theft: A Cardinal Drive woman reported the theft of a $50 planter pot.
Domestic violence: A Liberty man, 42, surrendered to police. He was wanted on a warrant charging him.
Arrest: A 31-year-old North Jackson man faced a disorderly-conduct charge after police responded to a loud-music complaint on Scott Lane. The intoxicated man shouted profanities at officers and others and refused to desist, the report said.

Trespassing: A Keefer Road woman said her 46-year-old former boyfriend came uninvited to her residence and tried to cause a disturbance.
Sept. 15
Theft/trespassing: A worker with a Belmont Avenue restaurant noticed someone had entered a fenced-in patio and removed 15 tables and a bicycle.
Drugs: Howland police handed a 39-year-old Girard man to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with possession of drugs.
Felonious assault: A Youngstown woman accused a Youngstown man, 50, of striking her with his vehicle in the 2900 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
Sept. 16
Theft: A New Castle, Pa., woman reported her wallet stolen while at a Trails Edge Drive residence.
Criminal damaging: A key was used to damage the finish on a Boardman man’s vehicle in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue. Damage came to $500.
Felonious assault: Authorities charged a 13-year-old Girard girl with felonious assault and domestic violence after her mother, of Arbor Circle, alleged the teen came toward her with a steak knife.

Sept. 14
Assault: A man reported an assault at his Walnut Street home.
Theft: An employee with Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St., detained a shoplifter.
Sept. 15
Breaking and entering: A woman returned to her Hager Street residence to discover a break-in.
Theft: A man reported someone in a green truck stole scrap items from behind a business in the 800 block of North Main Street.
Theft: A woman noticed gasoline had been stolen from a truck belonging to a North Main Street church.
Sept. 16
Warrant: The Hubbard Mayor’s Court issued a warrant against a Hubbard man accused of failing to file his 2005 city income taxes.
Attempted theft: A Stewart Avenue man said three 13-year-old girls tried to steal items from his front yard.
