Vocal Group Hall of Fame sets four nights of concerts

SHARON, Pa. — The Vocal Group Hall of Fame’s 10th anniversary incuction ceremony concerts will include performances by many of the biggest names in music.

The four concerts will be Nov. 6 through 9 at Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown.

A private induction ceremony will launch the four-day event on Nov. 6.

That evening’s concert will include short performances by Three Dog Night, The Lettermen, Florence LaRue of The 5th Dimension, Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge, The Angels, Terry Johnson’s Flamingos, The Four Preps, The Fleetwoods, The Capris, The Spaniels, Tom Bialoglow of The Duprees and many more.

Performing Nov. 7 will be Sam Moore of Sam and Dave, Al Jardine from The Beach Boys & Friends, Martha and The Vandellas, Marshall Thompson of The Chi-lites, The Tokens, The Crystals, The Tymes, Sonny Til’s Legendary Orioles, Harold Winfrey’s Clovers, The Harptones and more.

The Nov. 8 concert will include performances by The O’Jays, Ruth Pointer of The Pointer Sisters, Jay and The Americans, Mary Weiss (former lead singer of The Shangri-Las), Danny and The Juniors, Jimmy Merchant of Frankie Lymon’s Legendary Teenagers, Jimmy Beaumont of The Skyliners, Jimmy Sacca of The Hilltoppers and more.

The Nov. 9 concert will feature Tony Orlando and Dawn, The Association, Ruby of Ruby and The Romantics, The Modernaires, Jim Freeman of The Five Satins and many more. The event will end with an All Inductee Jam and grand finale.
