Suspects found guilty in the March 24 robbery and shooting of KFC manager Joseph Kaluza

A verdict appears imminent in the Taran Helms-Hattie Gilbert trial at the Mahoning County Courthouse.

Deliberations began Thursday in the trial of Helms, 23, of West Hylda Avenue, and Gilbert, 20, of East Judson Avenue, who are both accused of attempted murder, felonious assault, aggravated robbery and kidnapping in the March attack on KFC manager Joe Kaluza.

Both face up to 50 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
