Downtown roads clogged due to Biden event

YOUNGSTOWN — The roads downtown may start to get a bit clogged this afternoon due to the visit of Sen. Joe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential nominee.

West Federal Street between Phelps and Market streets is closed because of the event location.

The corner of Phelps and Commerce streets is blocked off as well as the corner of Hazel Street and Federal Place.

The event will start around 5:30 p.m. in front of the city-owned 20 Federal Place, the former Phar-Mor Centre.

This will be Biden’s first rally in the Mahoning Valley.
