N.J. man dies while working in Mercer County


GREENVILLE, Pa. — A utility worker from New Jersey who was in the area helping to repair power lines was killed when he stepped on a live wire, state police in Mercer reported.

Robert Lempke, 43, of Columbia, N.J., was working with a crew off Pew Road in Delaware Township, Mercer County, when the accident happened at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Lempke, an employee of New Jersey Central Power and Light, was taken to UPMC Greenville where he was pronounced dead, police said.
