FRIDAY
• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, will hold an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include macaroni and cheese, french fries, dessert and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The kitchen is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The daily specials are as follows: Wednesday, wings from 6 to 9 p.m., and Friday, fish from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
• North Bloomfield United Methodist Church, state Route 45, will serve a benefit chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Homemade desserts will be featured, and proceeds will benefit the Coats for Kids Project. A freewill offering will be accepted.
• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.
• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.
• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9 a.m. and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.
• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
SATURDAY
• Christ Church, 1933 Canfield Road, Youngstown, will serve sauerkraut dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children.
• Concord Presbyterian Church, 10013 S. Salem Road, Salem, is seving its annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. Included in the meal will be meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, dessert, and coffee or punch.
•Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road S.E., Warren, will serve spaghetti dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. Meals include salad, bread and dessert, and the cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 2 to 10 and free for those under 2. There will be a 50-50 raffle.
• Salem Masonic Temple, 788 E. State St., will have its all-you-can-eat public breakfast buffet from 7:30 to 10 a.m. On the buffet will be waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, homemade sausage gravy, home fries, biscuits, toast, tea, orange juice, coffee and fruit cocktail. Carryouts will be available. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10. There is a handicapped-accessible elevator. In October, the normal schedule of the fourth Saturday will return.
• Southington American Legion Post 751, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington, will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include real mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverage and dessert. The donation will be $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeouts are available.
SUNDAY
• Aut Mori Grotto will serve pigs in a blanket dinners from noon to 4 p.m. at Shangri-La, 7209 W. Calla Road, Canfield. Meals include mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. • Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own.
• Historic Lutheran Church of St. John, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, adjacent to Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, has planned a Slovak Heritage Buffet at noon in the Colonial Room. Meals feature stuffed cabbage, kolbasi and sauerkraut, haluski, vegetables, salad, bread, beverage and apple strudel. The minimum donation is $12.50 for adults, and $6.25 for children. • Roast beef dinners will be sold from noon to 2 p.m. at the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., across from the public library. Tickets at the door cost $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Proceeds from the dinner, which is sponsored by the men’s organization, will benefit mission projects. The menu features egg casserole, cheese potatoes, sausage, ham, pancakes, fresh fruit, assorted pastries, lettuce and fruit salad, beverages, and tortillas with eggs, cheese and salsa. • Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a stuffed chicken dinner from noon to 2 p.m. to benefit a volunteer mission trip to the Renewal Orphanage in Dmitrov, Russia. A freewill offering will be accepted. Dinners will include mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans almondine, Methodist coleslaw and dessert.
