Boardman starts branch and debris pick-up


BOARDMAN — The township begins a three-day branch and woody debris curb-side pick-up today, concluding Friday.

Today’s pick-up will take place in the northwest quadrant of the township which are all streets north of U.S. Route 224 and west of Market Street. Thursday’s pick up will be the northeast quadrant of the township which are all streets north of Route 224 and east of Market. Friday’s pick-up will be all streets south of Route 224.

All branches and woody debris should be no longer than 5 to 6 feet. Debris must be less than 10 inches in diameter. Residents should place all branches and woody debris parallel with the curb out by the edge of the road and the road department will try and get to as many homes as possible.

The township will be applying for a reimbursement of the cost for this three- day branch and woody debris pick-up to the state.
