S. Range boys win, 4-2; Mooney girls triumph

Poland, Howland, LaBrae, South Range and Springfield posted shutouts.
NORTH LIMA — Alex Baker and Andrew Edwards each scored two goals Monday to lead the South Range High boys soccer team to a 4-2 victory over East Palestine.
Baker also added an assist for the Raiders (8-1). Justin Neimi, Andy Lakefield and Jordan Baker also had assists. Goalkeeper Luke Yeagley made nine saves.

STRUTHERS — Ashley Cuba scored two goals for the Cardinals (4-2) and Katie Griswold netted the other. Griswold and Alex Sierra earned assists.
Goalkeeper Rachael Letscher made two saves.
For Doylestown (4-2-1), Sarah Yoho scored on an assist from Taylor Llewellyn. Goalkeeper Meagan Shipley made 15 saves.

POLAND — Jordan Palumbo scored two goals while Samantha Robertson, Rachel Cooper, Alicia Taylor, Taylor Marucci, Rachel Ames and Samantha Susich scored one.
Becky Hanna had two assists while Taylor, Vivien Clayton and Taylor Krawchyk had one for the Bulldogs (4-4).
Goalkeepers Stephanie Ciccone and Taylor Erdel combined on the shutout.
Ursuline (0-7) goalkeeper Briana Curd made 30 saves.

HOWLAND — Olivia Nicholas, Gina Albani and Lauren Hawes each scored a goal for the Tigers (7-0-1), who are rated ninth in the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Poll.
Hawes, Erika Nites and Tyler Nicholas each had an assist.
Howland took 13 shots on goal while Hubbard had none. Eagles (4-4-2) goalkeeper Mariah Gordon, made 10 saves.

LIBERTY — Katelyn Downey and Julie Gibson scored for the Vikings (5-2-1). Cara Brady earned an assist. Goaltender Kelsie Daniel made four saves.

COLUMBIANA — Alexis Zubick scored three goals and Kelli Fitzpatrick scored one and had an assist for the Tigers (8-1, 4-0 Inter Tri-County League Tier One).
Hannah Chapella and Jaclyn Tabaka each had an assist.
Springfield took 21 shots on goal and Crestview had five. Rebels (0-5-2, 0-3-1) goalkeeper Shanea Beiling made 15 saves.
South Range 3, Youngstown Christian 0
NORTH LIMA — Makenzie Pfiefer scored two goals and Abbey Ausnehmer had the other for the Raiders (3-3-1) in the first game at Memorial Field.
Goalkeeper Kristin Robinson made 12 saves.
For the Eagles (1-5-3), Kailyn Vestal made 18 stops.
