“House” (8 p.m., Fox): The fifth season of this acclaimed medical drama picks up eight weeks after the shocking death of Wilson’s (Robert Sean Leonard) girlfriend, Amber. He’s still very much in mourning and his relationship with the self-absorbed House (Hugh Laurie) is in tatters.
“Biggest Loser: Families” (8 p.m., NBC): “Biggest Loser” trainer Jillian Michaels has a retort ready for those contestants this season who think of her as “the nice one.” “I’ll break your hands off,” she barks.
“Lincoln Heights” (8 p.m., ABC Family): In season three, the Sutton family wonders if the troubled community is showing signs of change.
“Fringe” (9 p.m., Fox): A woman gives birth to a senior citizen.
“Big Brother 10” (9 p.m., CBS): The humans-as-lab-rats experiment known as “Big Brother 10” finally comes to an end with the announcement of the winner. Julie Chen hosts.
“The Shield” (10 p.m., FX): The blistering final season of “The Shield” continues with an episode that has Vic working an angle to make himself valuable to the Armenian mob.
“The Cleaner” (10 p.m., A&E): Isaiah Washington shows up to cause trouble.
