FORTY YEARS AGO: Julie Nixon, daughter of Richard M. Nixon, the Republican presidential nominee, spoke before a large crown in front of the Trumbull GOP headquarters in Warren on Sept. 13, 1968. She and Mrs. John Eisenhower, her future mother-in-law, cut the ribbon to open the headquarters. On the same day, vice presidential candidate Edmund Muskie and Hubert H. Humphrey III, son of the Democratic presidential candidate, were campaigning in Youngstown.
