Resort is setting for celebration of Masluks’ 50th
• BOARDMAN — Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Masluk, 8103 Deerpath Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at he Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Honoring the couple at the event were their four children and their spouses and their grandchildren, Melanie and Bill Culp, and their children, Christopher and Alyssa, of North Lima; Kimberly and Merle Madrid III, and their sons, Merle IV and Matthew of Poland; Melissa and Keith Meyer, and their sons, Jack and Keith, of Cincinnati; and Charles and Deborah Masluk, and their daughters, Abigail, Madeline, and Emily, of Poland.
The Masluks, who were also honored during a Mass at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Nassau, renewed their vows during a Mass officiated by Bishop George Murry at St. Columba Cathedral.
The former Shirley Pavlov became the bride of Mr. Masluk on Aug. 30, 1958, in a ceremony that took place at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Charles Church and Fonderlac Country Club, Poland.
Mr. Masluk began his career in sales at Mahoning Valley Supply Co, and was a vice president at Transmission Equipment Co. before he and his wife founded Torque Drives Inc. of Warren and North Canton.
Mrs. Masluk retired as vice president in 2004. Her husband stepped down from his position as president of the firm in 2004 and remained as a consultant for Torque Drives.
