As Hurricane Ike moves northeast today after whipping Texas and the western Gulf Coast, the Mahoning Valley will be affected slightly.

Weather will be hot, humid and windy today, with high temperatures near 90.

Showers are expected Monday, with the high temperature dropping to about 66.
