“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m., WFMJ Channel 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County): Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., will hold its 7th annual Salute to Excellence Banquet Sept. 26 at the Mahoning Country Club. Michele Dotson and Dr. Sherri Lovelace-Cameron will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and the sorority community programs that will benefit from the proceeds. Also, September is National Emergency Preparedness Safety Month; WFMJ Community Connection will offer suggestions on how to keep your family safe in case of an emergency.
