Cornersburg Baptist to mark 40th year

YOUNGSTOWN — Cornersburg Baptist Church, 3898 Tippecanoe Road, will mark its 40th anniversary this weekend. Former pastor the Rev. Joseph Board will speak at the service at 11 a.m. Sunday.

The theme is Deuteronomy 2:7: “For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you: you have lacked nothing.”

The church historian, Mary Nelle Jones, has written a book summarizing the church history. Others have compiled scrapbooks and photo albums.

Pastor Randy Langham will welcome special guests who have been instrumental in serving the Lord at the church. Testimonies will be given during a get-together at 5:45 p.m. that day.
