WARREN — Bob Eubanks, the television game-show host who grew to fame with “The Newlywed Game,” will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at W.D. Packard Music Hall. His appearance is part of the Trumbull Town Hall speakers series.

Eubanks, who began his career as a doorman opening doors for stars on Hollywood Boulevard, received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000.

He got started in 1964, when he borrowed $25,000 to bring The Beatles to the Hollywood Bowl, thus beginning a 20-year concert promotion career. In 1972, he began managing the careers of Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell and Marty Robbins, and became one of the biggest promoters in America.

For four decades, Eubanks was the host of “The Newlywed Game.” He also served as host for game shows on ABC, NBC and CBS.

Currently, he can be seen four times a day on Game Show Network and also hosts “Powerball, the Game Show.”

As a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Eubanks has competed in team roping and served as television commentator for the National Finals Rodeo.

Eubanks has launched a new career as a speaker, addressing corporate gatherings on “The Power of Partnerships.”
