Paving work moved up on U.S. Route 224 at Tippecanoe Road

BOARDMAN — Because of the weather forecast for tonight and Friday, the start time of tonight’s paving work on U.S. Route 224 through the intersection with Tippecanoe Road/Lockwood Boulevard has been moved up to 7:30 p.m. from the previously announced 9 p.m., the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

Weather permitting, the work will continue through Friday morning. During this time, there will be lane restrictions on Route 224, periods of stopped traffic and times when turns at this intersection will be prohibited. Delays can be expected.

The work is part of a $4.1 million project to widen the approaches of the Route 224 intersection with Tippecanoe and Lockwood. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by July 2009.
