East Palestine teachers "disappointed" with talks
EAST PALESTINE — The East Palestine Education Association this morning issued a statement saying teachers “are extremely disappointed that there was little progress” in its most recent contract talks.
The teachers and administration met with a federal mediator for about eight hours on Wednesday, according to the release.
EPEA spokesperson Greg Akers stated, “The EPEA deeply resents the fact that the board has once again pushed us to the point of a potential strike.”
Superintendent Ron Inchak could not be reached for comment.
The union represents about 83 teachers.
