THE ORDER
THE ORDER
Here are some provisions of the magistrate’s order to keep a reputed drug house at 542 W. Glenaven Ave. boarded up:
Owner and occupants are barred from maintaining the nuisance there or anywhere.
All personal property or contents used to maintain the nuisance will be sold without appraisal at a public auction, with sale proceeds applied toward costs of prosecution of the nuisance action and the abatement and sale. Any remaining proceeds shall be deposited in Mahoning County’s general fund.
A $300 tax surcharge will be imposed as a perpetual lien on the property in addition to all other real estate taxes.
The owner and occupants are responsible for the city’s legal fees and the cost of boarding up and padlocking the premises.
Trespassers and anyone who mutilates or removes the “no-trespassing” signs will be punished for contempt of court.
