VIENNA — The Kiwanis Club of Vienna is selling Entertainment 2009 books through Dec. 15 to raise funds for youth and community projects. The books offer deals on dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel, and cost $25 each. A portion of the proceeds benefit the club. Neighborhood Day picnic is scheduled

ALLIANCE — Mount Union College Office of Service, Learning and Community service will host a free family picnic from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Alliance Middle School. The event is planned in celebration of National Neighborhood Day. No registration is required, and there will be free food, games and crafts.

Crafters sought for show

VIENNA — Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 291 Scoville Drive, is seeking crafters and vendors to participate in a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at the church. Rental tables are available for $20, and the show will be advertised.

Nursing school alumni luncheon in Niles

NILES — All alumni of Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing are invited to attend the 21st annual alumni luncheon planned for Oct. 4 at The Center at Brittany Place, 336 Vienna Ave. Any alumnus who did not receive an invitation and would like to attend, should contact Linda Bishop at (330) 841-9017 and request an invitation. Annual tea planned by Methodist women

LIBERTY — The United Methodist Women of Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, have planned an annual Autumn Tea for Tuesday. Doors open for browsing the tea tables at 7 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30.

The welcome will be by Karen Susany, devotions will be by Terri West, and special music will be provided by Brianne Kochunas, a graduate of Dana School of Music. Georgia “Jo” Swanson, retired Baldwin Wallace College speech professor, will wear a period costume and present a performance of “Annie Oakley” prior to tea time.

Crazy Quilters Guild sets quilt show

LEAVITTSBURG — An annual Shop Owners Night will be sponsored by the Crazy Quilters Guild from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Community Center, 800 Gilmer Road.

Featured will be displays by quilt shop vendors, a quilt show, door prizes, a Chinese auction and a 50-50 raffle. There will also be free refreshments.

Admission to the event is $1, and proceeds will benefit the guild’s community service project of making baby quilts for needy and ill children. For more information call (330) 898-4786.
