Gillespie-Rizzo engagement told, wedding planned

• Roberta L. Gillespie, 2024 Overland Ave. NE, Warren, and Ronald S. Rizzo, 4543 Tippecanoe Road, Youngstown, are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.

The couple have chosen Oct. 10 as the date for their open wedding at 4 p.m. at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park, and for a reception to be by invitation that evening at The Embassy in Youngstown.

The bride-elect, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Markle, has served six years with the Army Reserve. She is a server at the Olive Garden in Niles.

The future groom is a son of the late Sam and Anne Rizzo, who had lived in Johnstown, Pa. An Army veteran who served four years, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown Campus, with a degree in finance and is a sanitary engineer with Automatic Refrigeration in Niles.
