Police separate fighting Chaney High girls

YOUNGSTOWN — Two Chaney High School girls brawling on a classroom floor refused to let go of each other when police entered the room and had to be physically pulled apart. The girls, 14 and 15, were screaming obscenities while punching and pulling each other’s hair out Monday afternoon. One officer had to use his baton on a girl’s wrist in order to free her grip. The girls continued to scream at each other when escorted to the security office and the 15-year-old girl lunged and spat on the 14-year-old girl, hitting one officer in the shoulder in the process. Both South Side girls were charged with disorderly conduct and released to family members.
