A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

Sept. 5

Domestic violence: Officers picked up a 58-year-old Youngstown man on Boardman-Canfield Road. In August, a Lemans Drive woman alleged the intoxicated man kicked in her door and made numerous threats.

Burglary: A woman called police after someone entered her South Schenley Drive apartment and removed a Sony PlayStation 3 game system.

Theft: A Youngstown woman shopping at a Boardman-Poland Road store noticed $145 missing from her purse.

Misuse of a credit card: A Canfield woman’s debit card was used without her consent to make an $8.24 food purchase at a West Boulevard eatery.

Theft: A Campbell man, 39, was charged, accused in the theft of a paint sprayer and other items from Lowe’s of Boardman, 1100 Doral Drive.

Aggravated menacing: The owner of a Boardman-Canfield Road business told police a man threatened on two occasions to kill him as part of a civil action he took against a family member of the man.

Theft: An elderly Market Street woman discovered her bank book missing and that a check was cashed for $300.

Theft: A worker for a Warren company discovered 10 feet of copper piping missing from a construction site in the 500 block of McClurg Road.

Theft/forgery: A Youngstown woman reported two unauthorized withdrawals totaling $197 from her Market Street bank, and that her signature had been forged.

Misuse of a credit card: An Appleridge Circle woman found out her debit card had been used to buy $347 worth of items online.

Vandalism: Someone used a key to damage a vehicle’s finish in the 200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.

Assault: A Struthers man had bruises and redness after alleging his girlfriend’s former boyfriend punched him in the head several times at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant.

Assault: Police responded to a fight at a Market Street business and charged an 18-year-old Youngstown woman with assault after another woman alleged she knocked the accuser into a store display, grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face. A third person who tried to break up the fight reported having been shoved backward into a display case and punched.

Sept. 6

Domestic violence: A Boardman man, 35, surrendered to authorities and faced charges of domestic violence and disrupting public services, a felony. The man’s wife alleged he pushed her into a TV, causing the accuser to fall, and that he ripped the phone from the wall to prevent her from contacting police.

Criminal mischief: A Wodview Avenue woman told police someone was continually throwing rocks at her windows.

Recovered property: Police found a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt on Brandon Avenue that was in a crash, and that had been stolen from a Poland man.

Burglary: A laptop computer was stolen after someone entered a Shields Road apartment via the front door.

Arrest: A Boardman man, 21, was picked up on South Avenue on a probation-violation charge. The original charge was leaving the scene of an accident.

Sept. 7

Theft: A Woodview Avenue woman told police her grandson’s $80 Cleveland Browns jersey was taken from her vehicle.

Theft: A Woodview Avenue man discovered a DVD/videocassette recorder and a digital camera missing from his car.

Arrest: A 15-year-old Youngstown girl was arrested in the 4000 block of South Avenue on a pickup order issued by the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center in Youngstown.

Theft: A Youngstown woman’s purse was stolen from a shopping cart at a Doral Drive store.

Sept. 8

Fraud: A Boardman man accused a business partner of illegally soliciting funds against mortgages on joint properties and failing to fulfill contracts on them, causing the accuser to lose $114,000.

Bad check: A worker for Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, said two people presented checks for more than $1,400, both of which were returned.

Stolen property: Police responded to an armed man at a Glenwood Avenue residence, where they arrested the 25-year-old homeowner on a felony count of receiving stolen property. Found was an unloaded .45-caliber firearm that had been stolen in Youngstown, the report said. No one was injured.

Theft: After two belts, a shirt and a pair of socks were stolen from Burlington Coat Factory, 529 Boardman-Canfield Road, officers charged an 18-year-old Youngstown man.

Domestic violence: The Ohio State Highway Patrol turned a 40-year-old Boardman man over to police. He was accused of punching his wife at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant, causing the woman to hit her ear, and threatening to kill the person she was with.

Misuse of a credit card: A Poland man reported the theft of his credit card and found out it had been used at various township locations.

Arrest: A Cleveland man, 39, was taken into custody on Market Street. He was wanted on warrants charging him with receiving stolen property and failing to appear in court on a theft count.

Sept. 9

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 28, was charged in the theft of two pairs of sunglasses and women’s undergarments from Wal-Mart.

Bad check: A 45-year-old Youngstown man surrendered to Boardman police and faced a felony charge of passing a bad check.
