Business Showcase 2008 set at Chevrolet Centre

YOUNGSTOWN — The Regional Chamber’s Business Showcase 2008 will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Chevrolet Centre. It will include displays by 109 vendors, including technology companies, health-care providers and food and beverage manufacturers.

The showcase is designed for businesses to connect with one another but also for the public to learn more about business commerce in the Mahoning Valley. Admission and parking are free.

The chamber will hold a mixer at the show from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for members. To register for the mixer, call the chamber at (330) 744-2131, ext. 12.

Verizon Wireless activates new cell sites in Trumbull

WARREN — Verizon Wireless has activated three new cell sites in Trumbull County that expand network coverage and increase capacity, enabling more customers to use Verizon phone and texting services, the company reports.

The new cell sites improve service in several communities including Niles, McKinley Heights, Yankee Lake, Farmdale and Kinsman.
