Chase makes $75K donation to YSU Centennial Capital Campaign
YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University’s Centennial Capital Campaign got a $75,000 boost from Chase this morning.
“Chase hopes to create meaningful, positive change in Youngstown through this grant,” said Theodore F. Walter, president of Chase’s Youngstown market.
The money will be channeled into three specific ongoing programs, with $30,000 earmarked for the Buy Into Youngstown home ownership campaign, $30,000 for the All-Sciences, Hands-On Field Trips for Children in fifth and eighth grades in the Youngstown city schools, and $15,000 for the Students Motivated by the Arts program.
The gift raises the total for the capital campaign to more than $45 million, some $2 million over the goal with nearly a year left in the fund drive.
