“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” (8 p.m., Fox): It’s time for Season 2 of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” which picks up in the wake of last season’s Jeep explosion and brings danger for Sarah and John. Of course, if Sarah and John weren’t in danger, we probably wouldn’t have a show.

“CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” (9 p.m., ABC): This two-hour special brings viewers to the annual four-day event where fans interact with country stars. Among the performers are Trace Adkins, Billy Ray Cyrus, Faith Hill, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.
