STRUTHERS — Matt McWilson and Kyle Thomas each scored goals for Mooney (6-0) in a matchup of two of the area’s best soccer programs. Eric Ehrenberg and Chris Felker each added assists and Jon Critel had one save for the Cardinals. Aaron Lamancusa scored for the Warriors (5-1), which got 14 saves from Chance Young. JVs: Mooney 4-1.
Canfield 0, North Canton Hoover 0
CANFIELD — Canfield goalie Mike Thomas had eight saves. The Cardinals got good defense from Nate and Nick Merhaut, Griffin Todd, Jim Naples and Chris Seikman. Canfield had 12 shots on goal. JVs: Hoover, 1-0.
Heartland Christian 8, East Liverpool Christian 1
EAST LIVERPOOL Kyle Knepper scored six goals, five of them in the second half for unbeaten Heartland Christian (4-0). Treg Lunger and Ethan Altomare each made a goal. Steven Treadway gave East Liverpool Christian an early 1-0 lead. Heartland had 28 shots on goal and East Liverpool had eight.

Boardman 3, Poland 1
BOARDMAN — Heather Hughes registered two goals to lead Boardman (4-1). Jaime Avona added a goal while Danielle Petrus and Courtney Gratz each contributed an assist to aid the Spartans. Poland’s lone goal was by Samantha Robertson. Boardman goalie Cheyenne Khatib had 12 saves. JVs: Poland won, 6-0.
Fitch 1, Akron SVSM 0
AUSTINTOWN — Adriana Caruso scored the goal with 6 minutes, 57 seconds remaining in the second half for the Falcons (4-3-0). Fitch had six shots on goal, St. Vincent-St. Mary had four. Ali Tolich, goalie, had four saves for Fitch. Ammanda Olszewski had three saves for the Irish (1-3-1). JVs: SVSM 2-0.
Howland 1, Green 0
GREEN — Abby Nicholas’ goal in the first half on assists from Gina Albani and Kelley Drew gave Howland the win over Green, which has been the Tigers’ chief Division I playoff rival. Howland (5-0-1) took four shots on goal, Green two. Howland goalie Casey Haering had two saves. Green won the district championship in three of the last four years, eliminating Howland each time; while Howland won the district crown in the other year. JVs: Howland won, 3-2
Salem 1, Lakeview 1
SALEM — Aimie Jones scored the goal that gave the Quakers (3-0-2) a 1-0 lead in the first half. Kaitlynn Tonkovich scored for the Bulldogs (3-1-2) off an assist by Shawna Hunter in the second half. Salem’s goalie Allison Thompson had 15 saves. Lakeview’s Jen Ulam had six. JVs: Lakeview 2-1.
Badger 4, Bristol 1
Taylor Phillips and Amelia Deraway each had a goal and an assist for Badger (3-3, 3-0), which took a 3-0 halftime lead. Shawna McNeely and Kayleen Mearditch each added goals, while Sarah Smith and Adrianna Braho had assists. Kelsey Flowers had four saves. Alyssa Giesy scored for Bristol (0-4-2, 0-2-1) and Heidi Ulrich had 10 saves.
LaBrae 2, Streetsboro 1
LEAVITTSBURG — Julie Gibson and Gabby Borawiec each scored a goal for the Vikings (4-1-1). Brittani Hill and Borawiec each had an assist. Kellie Radic scored the goal for Streetsboro. Kelsie Daniel, goalie, had five saves for LaBrae. Kayla Brown had 15 for Streetsboro.
