Otterbein 40, Bethany 7

WESTERVILLE — Five Bethany College turnovers, including three in the first half that stopped drives inside Otterbein territory, set the stage for the setback. Following a penalty and a running play which lost a yard, Otterbein QB Jack Rafferty flipped a 16-yard scoring pass to Ryan Rowley. The extra point was wide right, so it was a 6-0 game just half a minute into the season. Bethany’s offense came alive when sophomore QB Dan Pegg completed two straight passes for 23 yards.
