AG candidate to speak at Republican dinner
CANFIELD —Michael Crites, GOP candidate for Ohio attorney general, will speak at a dinner sponsored by the Canfield Republican Women’s Club, Warren Republican Women’s Club and Dave Johnson, Columbiana County GOP chairman, on Sept. 17 at A La Cart Catering.
A meet-the-candidate social will begin at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7. The cost is $20. For reservations, call (330) 533-4731 by Sept. 14.
Crites, the managing partner of a Columbus law firm, has 21 years’ experience as a prosecutor at the local, state and federal levels.
Retired Teachers to meet at Shepherd luncheon
POLAND — The Mahoning Retired Teachers will host a satellite luncheon Sept. 24 at Shepherd of the Valley, 301 W. Western Reserve Road, Poland.
The event is open to any retired teachers in this area.
The social hour will begin at 11:30 a.m. and be followed by lunch at noon. Dorothy Burke, a docent for the Butler Institute of American Art, will bring and discuss artwork from the gallery.
