Friday: Qualifying at Richmond, Va., for the Chevy Rock Roll 400 was washed out, so the starting grid was set based on owner’s points. That means the Hartford native will start in 32nd place.

This weekend: NASCAR postponed its Sprint Cup Series race to Sunday at 1 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN.

Up next: NASCAR’s top series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the Sylvania 400 Sept. 14. It’s the first of 10 races in the Chase for the Championship.
