Meche’s gem leads Royals over Indians

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Gil Meche gave up three hits in seven innings to win for the first time in more than a month, and the Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Indians 3-1 Saturday night.

The Indians lost on the road for the first time since Aug. 6 at Tampa Bay, snapping a 10-game winning streak away from home.
