“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on WFMJ Channel 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable Channel 15 in Trumbull County): Local songstress Sophia Brooks will talk with host Madonna Chism Pinkard about her latest CD, “Coming Out.” Brooks will showcase the CD in a program at the Ford Family Recital hall Sept. 26. Next, Rev. Joe Thomas of Victory Christian Centers will discuss the grand opening of a new church on U.S. Route 422. The event will include a performance from national guitarist Phil Keaggy, who got his beginnings at Victory Christian Worship Center. Finally, Bill Lawson of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society will discuss the organization’s new history center.
