Aug. 30
Auto theft: A Palo Verde Drive man reported the theft of his 1994 Buick Century from his home.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Mineral Ridge woman in the 7600 block of South Avenue found that her car window had been smashed and her purse had been stolen.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A worker with Four Wheels Vehicles, 5925 South Ave., told police a customer agreed to trade in a car to the business, but that the vehicle was not present. The car’s location also was undetermined, the report said.
Recovered property: Liberty police found a motorcycle’s license plate after a Boardman man discovered it had been removed.
Arrest: A 44-year-old Youngstown woman who was pulled over near South Avenue was taken into custody on a probation-violation charge.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 25, and a 51-year-old Poland woman were charged, accused in the theft of $695 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Nine video game cartridges were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, resulting in theft charges against an East Palestine man, 25, and an East Liverpool woman, 28.
Theft: A Niles man, 26, was arrested in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road on a felony theft count. He was accused of taking $550.50 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft by deception: A Wendy Lane woman told authorities a man tricked her out of $20 by coming to her residence claiming to need money to help his stranded wife.
Burglary: A woman in the 100 block of Clifton Drive noticed someone had entered her residence and removed a DVD player, 50 DVDs, jewelry and a bag of clothing, for an estimated loss of $2,600.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Island Drive woman reported her 1992 Pontiac Sunfire was used without permission.
Domestic violence: A charge was filed against a man, no information given, after a Lemans Drive woman alleged the intoxicated man kicked in her door and made threats.
Domestic violence: The Ohio State Highway Patrol turned over a 35-year-old Boardman man to township authorities. Earlier, the man’s girlfriend alleged he punched her once in the head during an argument.
Theft/criminal damaging: A Springfield, Ill., man staying at a South Avenue motel discovered his car had been broken into. Stolen was a $500 global positioning system device.
Theft: A Boardman woman, 53, faced a charge after one package each of bacon and meat were stolen from Save-a-Lot Nemenz Food Store, 223 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: A 57-year-old Poland man faced a charge of public indecency after a woman driving on Market Street reported seeing someone exposing himself to her.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 29, and a Campbell woman, 33, were charged after seven articles of clothing were taken from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A Bowling Green, Va., woman reported $50 and a GPS device stolen from her car while in the 3900 block of Sylvia Lane.
Robbery: A 22-year-old Poland woman faced charges of aggravated robbery, domestic violence and obstructing official business after an Island Drive woman alleged her daughter held knives to her stomach and throat while demanding the keys to the mother’s vehicle. The daughter also provided a false name, police said.
Recovered property: A 1991 Chevrolet S-14 truck that had been stolen from a Girard man was recovered in the 1100 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Recovered property: Police found a 1996 Oldsmobile near U.S. Route 224 that had been taken from a Niles man.
Theft: A Youngstown man discovered his debit/credit card missing while at a South Avenue restaurant.
Domestic violence: A 17-year-old Boardman girl faced a charge after her grandmother alleged the teen threatened to harm her during an argument about loud music.
Drugs: A Youngstown woman, 32, was cited during a traffic stop on Market Street after officers said a suspected marijuana cigarette was in her vehicle.
Felonious assault: A Shadyside Drive man reported that when he told a driver to slow down, the motorist turned around and tried to strike the accuser with the car.

Criminal damaging: A Charles Avenue woman told officers a teenage boy pushed over her lamp post, causing $200 in damage.
Drugs: Police cited a 19-year-old Youngstown man near Market Street on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Drugs: Authorities responded to a report of a vehicle blocking the road near Midlothian Boulevard before a man in his mid-30s got out and ran from police. Found near the sport-utility vehicle was a small bag of suspected cocaine, the report showed.
Theft: A metal rack was stolen in the 50 block of Carter Circle.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 19, was accused in the theft of seven pieces of merchandise valued at a total of $151 from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A license plate was stolen off a vehicle at the Southern Park Mall.
Aggravated menacing: A Firnley Avenue man reported getting a phone message in which the caller threatened to blow up his home.
Sept. 2
Recovered property: Police found in the 6000 block of Southern Boulevard an abandoned 1996 Buick Century with steering column and other damage. The car had been stolen in the township.
Burglary: Someone broke into a Lockwood Boulevard apartment and took two towels and other items.
