Figgins then stole his third base of the game and went to third on a groundout. Teixeira’s fly ball to center made it 5-4. McCarthy, whose last victory was on July 31, 2007, at Cleveland, went on the 60-day disabled list on March 30 with right forearm inflammation after pitching an inning in a spring training game. He didn’t begin throwing in the bullpen until June 21. Frank Francisco struck out the side in the ninth for his third save in nine chances. MIAMI — Pinch-hitter Ruben Gotay had an RBI double in the ninth inning as Atlanta spoiled a seven-run Florida rally. Kelly Johnson had four hits and four RBIs, and Omar Infante had four hits and two RBIs for the Braves, who had a season-high in runs. Atlanta, which snapped a four-game losing streak, scored 14 runs against the Reds on May 4. Alfredo Amezega had a career-high five RBIs for the Marlins, who have not won consecutive games since July 30-31. It would have been by far the biggest comeback win this season for Florida, which had rallied from three-run deficits five times this season.
