Infant found dead
YOUNGSTOWN — Foul play is not suspected in the death Tuesday morning of a 1-month-old West Side boy, said Capt. Kenneth Centorame, chief of detectives.
Anthony M. Chiovitti, of Eleanor Avenue, who was born Aug. 1, could not be resuscitated by paramedics called to the house by police who were first on the scene around 7:50 a.m. The baby’s 21-year-old mother fed him at 4 a.m. and then both fell asleep when she placed him on her chest, Centorame said. The baby’s grandmother found them side by side on the bedroom floor and called for help after noticing his blue coloring.
It’s possible the mother rolled over on the baby, Centorame said, adding that the cause of death will be determined by the coroner.

Services consolidated
YOUNGSTOWN — Humility of Mary Health Partners’ inpatient psychiatric services at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren will be moved to its Youngstown campus, St. Elizabeth Health Center, effective Sept. 22. No patients will be admitted to the St. Joseph unit after Sept. 15, hospital officials said.
About 15 full- and part-time employees are affected by the consolidation of psychiatric services. Every effort will be made to assist these individuals in securing other positions within HMHP, officials said.
Consolidation of inpatient psychiatric services was prompted by a decrease in demand for behavioral health services at the Warren facility. The move will bring psychiatric services for all HMHP hospitals, St. Elizabeth Youngstown, St. Elizabeth Boardman and St. Joseph, to the Youngstown campus.
