Emmanuel Community has new pastor

CANFIELD — The Rev. John Hutchinson is the new pastor of Emmanuel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road.

He assumed his position Sept. 2.

He graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and pastoral ministries and is concluding his master of divinity degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Md.

Pastor Hutchinson, a native of Pittsburgh, has served as an associate, youth and children’s pastor.

His last assignment was with Crossway Church in Valencia, Pa. He also has traveled and preached with an evangelist.

He and his wife, Becky, live in Valencia and will be moving to the Mahoning Valley.
