Sunday: The Hartford native finished in 30th place at the Pepsi 500 in Fontana, Calif., Sunday night.

Season to date: Blaney remained in 32nd place in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series points standings. He’s 30 points behind No. 31 Reed Sorensen and 36 behind No. 30 Michael Waltrip.

Up next: NASCAR’s top series heads to Richmond for Chevy Rock & Roll 400 Saturday night. The race will begin shortly after 8 p.m. and is the final race before the Chase for the Championship begins.
