Number of covered trash cans: approximately 2,000

Number of trucks used to haul away garbage each night: seven

Space between each trash can: about 10 feet.

Amount of trash accumulated each day: 20 to 30 tons

Amount of total trash accumulated: 150 tons

RECYCLING EFFORT

Plastic beverage containers: 1500 pounds

Cardboard: 940 pounds

Total recovery for 2007: 2,440 pounds
