Free arts events at Boardman Y

BOARDMAN — The Davis Branch of the Youngstown YMCA,45 McClurg Road, is having YArts Week, a national YMCA event, Monday through Sunday , which includes classes, performances and exhibitions, and Family Fall Fest from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Most everything on the schedule is free and everything is open to both members and non-members. Parents must remain in the building while their children participate in the activities.

Here is the schedule of events, which includes an art exhibit every day:

• Monday: Art exhibit only.

• Tuesday: Paper collage class, ages 5 and older, 6 to 7 p.m.

• Wednesday: Color and design class, teens and adults, 5 to 7 p.m.

• Thursday: Story time with local author Monica Stryffeler, call for times; open house/adult painting class, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• Friday: Art exhibit only.

• Saturday: Wilson & Rayen Acoustic Band, 1 to 2 p.m.; children’s music class with Linda Rein, 1 to 3 p.m.; beading classes, ages 3 to 6, 1 to 2 p.m.; paint on pottery class with Blazed and Bedazzled, 1 to 3 p.m., small fee; Pat Catann craft table, 1 to 3 p.m.; photos taken for The Face of Davis montage, 1 to 3 p.m.; group painting project, 1 to 3 p.m.; color mixing class, ages 8 and older, 2 to 3 p.m.

• Sunday : Art exhibit only.
