• BOARDMAN — The union of Monica Lynn Beil and Matthew James Critell took place at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at St. Charles Church.

A reception honoring the couple, both of 660 Halton Road 5G, Greenville, S.C., followed at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. The couple traveled to Riviera Maya, Mexico, for their honeymoon.

The newlyweds are teachers in the Greenville County Schools.

The daughter of Matt and Audrey Beil, 122 Mayflower Drive, is a second-grade teacher. She graduated from St. Mary’s College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

The son of Jim and Mary Ann Critell, 247 Maywood Drive, Youngstown, is a kindergarten teacher. He graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

The bride’s gown featured a sweetheart neckline and cathedral train and was adorned with pearls and crystals.

Ashley Goclano, cousin of the bride, was her maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mary Kopper; Jenny Heieck; Katie Critell, sister of the groom; Angela Cameron; and Brianna Valentini, the bride’s goddaughter. Attendants wore lavender dresses. Flower girl was Sarah Natalie Beil, cousin of the bride.

Jonathen Critell served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Matt Beil, brother of the bride; Kevin Freaney; Nick Wallco; Doug Cameron; and Vincent Valentini, cousin of the bride. The groom’s cousin, Corbin Foy, participated as ring bearer.
